Jen Dembo (LCSW) studied social work at Simmons University and has completed advanced training in maternal mental health, EMDR, grief education (with a particular focus on perinatal loss), birth trauma, sexual pain, and peri/menopause.
She has provided support to women and their families for over two decades and recognizes that every parent-child relationship is unique. Jen honors various perspectives on pregnancy, adoption, assisted reproduction, sexual health, surrogacy, childbirth, parenting, grief, and loss. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, integrative, and solution-focused.

Jen is an adjunct faculty instructor and guest lecturer at the Simmons University School of Social Work and at City University of New York, as part of the Brooklyn College Perinatal Mental Health Initiative. She is a certified labor support doula and childbirth educator who previously attended births in home, birth center, and hospital settings around NYC and the tri-state area. Jen is the former president of the Hudson Valley Birth Network and founding chair of its Social Justice Committee.
