Jessica Loughlin, LCSW
Psychotherapist | NYC
Jessica Loughlin (LCSW, MA, DIR-E, IMH-E®, ADHD-CCSP) is a psychotherapist and parent coach with over fifteen years of experience working with parents and families of children with autism, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and anxiety. She also has extensive experience supporting highly sensitive, gifted, and twice-exceptional ("2e") children, including dyslexia and learning differences.
Jessica provides psychotherapy for parents navigating the stress and complexities of neurodiversity, which often brings unique gifts as well as challenges. Her therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, integrative, and evidence-based, drawing from somatic, psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches, as well as other modalities that help parents manage stress and improve quality of life.
In her role as a Parent Coach with our partner organization Think Little, Jessica collaborates with parents to understand how their child's behaviors impact family life and to create practical, sustainable strategies that strengthen relationships and improve daily routines. Her work is informed by her expertise in DIR/Floortime and other approaches such as SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). While coaching is not about alleviating symptoms, parents do learn to support their child's emotional regulation and growth as Jessica focuses on identifying and addressing underlying patterns and challenges that promote long-term resilience and emotional well-being for both parent and child.
Jessica holds an MA in Child Development from Sarah Lawrence College and an MSW from New York University. She is a certified DIR/Floortime provider and teacher, an experienced clinical supervisor, and is endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Specialist at the Clinical Mentor level.
