Jen Dembo (LSW)
Jen Dembo (LSW) studied social work at Simmons College and has completed advanced training in perinatal loss, maternal mental health, sexual well-being, and challenges for pregnant/postpartum survivors of childhood sexual abuse. In addition to offering psychotherapy at Everyday Parenting Psychology and the Seleni Institute, Jen works on an inter-disciplinary team at Maze Women’s Sexual Health. Before obtaining her MSW, Jen worked with pregnant women and their families for over a decade, and has attended over 100 births throughout New York City and the tri-state area as a certified DONA labor support doula. She recognizes that every family is unique and honors various perspectives on pregnancy, adoption, assisted reproduction, sexual health, surrogacy, childbirth and parenting. Jen is the former president of the Hudson Valley Birth Network and founding chair of its Social Justice Committee, as well as a board member of Birth Education Beyond the Ordinary (BEBO). She also serves as the Postpartum Support International (PSI) Co-Coordinator for Westchester County.
