Alan Wenderoff, PhD

Dr. Wenderoff (PhD, MS Ed) is a licensed psychologist holding a degree in school psychology from Pace University and a doctoral degree in clinical/school psychology from Walden University. He has spent most of the past 30+ years working in a wide range of clinical and educational settings serving infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families. Dr. Wenderoff specializes in the diagnosis of young children with autism spectrum disorder and is trained to research-level criteria on the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). He provides comprehensive diagnostic assessments for a range of developmental concerns, including attentional (e.g., ADHD), language, behavioral, learning and anxiety disorders. Dr. Wenderoff is a former adjunct assistant professor at Bay Path University, and was a peer reviewer for the NYS Clinical Practice Guidelines: Evaluation and Intervention Methods for Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorders in Young Children. Dr. Wenderoff has published about an innovative approach to the provision of therapeutic services in preschool, and wrote Positive Parenting your Preschooler: A Handbook for Parents.
